The Hong Kong trade fair schedule can be very confusing to the uninitiated. Asia is a manufacturing hub for many types of jewellery, which creates a necessity for multiple trade fairs through the year to fulfil the needs of buyers and exhibitors. Hong Kong, a gateway to Asia, has long been a centre for trade fairs due to its free port status. Opal House exhibits at three long running fairs in March, June and September.

The March jewellery fair is considered the 2nd largest in Hong Kong, second only to the Hong Kong Jewellery & Watch Fair in September. However it is important to realise the scale of these fairs, to truly understand their size. The March fair in 2007 had some 2,185 exhibitors from 41 countries, not only from Asia but Europe and the Middle East as well. The show attracted 31,004 buyers from 129 countries and regions. All of this under one roof in the air conditioned comfort of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Opal House assembles a large selection of opal jewellery hand picked for the March fair. In 2008 we will be launching a new range of designer jewellery in sterling silver which will extend the appeal of opal jewellery to a new audience. We also produce an extensive range of one-off pieces of high quality in 18k, 14k yellow and white gold.
