Solid inlay is a relatively new innovation in the manufacturing of opal. Using light crystal opal we cut the opal to fit the jewellery setting. The opal is then bonded and polished into the jewellery, allowing our skilled jewellers to make the opal follow the contours of the piece. Like a doublet, solid inlay enhances and protects the beauty of the opal.
